Polar Plunge party at Locals BBQ

A Polar Plunge Party will be held from 5-8:30 p.m. today at Locals BBQ, 3849 S. Carson St. Patrons who present a Polar Plunge flier prior to ordering dinner will have a portion of the proceeds donated to Special Olympics. Visit www.sonv

In addition to food and prizes, there will be information available on the many ways people can support Special Olympics, including signing up for the Plunge.

Last year, 199 people from Carson City, Reno and Lake Tahoe plunged into Lake Tahoe for Special Olympics and raised more than $53,000 for local athletes. To support the entrants visit www.sonc.org
