Obituary: Norma Jean Calahan

Norma Jean Calahan passed away on February 11, 2010, at her home in Gardnerville. She was born June 4,1922, in Kansas City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her husband Buryl Leonard Calahan and son Paul Melvin Calahan. She lived in the Sparks area for many years and retired from the Western Union Company's Reno office. In 1988 she moved to Gardnerville and volunteered for many years at the Gardnerville Senior Center until her health forced her to retire. She is survived by her son Buryl Lee Calahan and wife Donna; daughter Kathy Wood; two grandsons; and two great-grandsons. No services are planned.
