Cock pits have of late become a quite an institution on the Comstock. Sagebrushers have delighted in the ability of Virginia birds to outbest those of San Francisco.

Carson City to have an up-to-date brewing plant. Max Sten, owner of the famous Santa Cruz brewery, arrived and purchased the holdings of the Carson City Brewing Company. Until the architect submits plans, Sten is bringing in his brew by the carload and will deliver it to you.

70 YEARS AGO

Many of Carson's basketball enthusiasts don't know what to think of the Senators and their chances this week. It seems that there isn't enough of the "never quit" spirit that took Geno Lecioni's Senators to a state championship the last two years he was at the school.

Carson City's $1.7 million outdoor pool is ready for use, as soon as weather cooperates.
