STOCKTON, Calif. - A jury has found two 20-year-old people guilty in the 2008 shooting death of federal correctional employee Michael Rutledge.

Joel Ladon Lewis and Gerell Lee Whatley were convicted Friday night in Superior Court. 42-year-old Delisa Rochelle Bryant was acquitted of the killing but convicted of using Rutlege's credit card after the killing.

The 35-year-old Rutledge was shot to death in his front yard as he was leaving for work.

Deputy District Attorney Thomas Testa said that the verdicts were just.

All three are to return to court for sentencing in late March. Lewis and Whatley could be sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.
