RENO (AP) - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's re-election bid has been endorsed by the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund.

In announcing the endorsement today, the league hailed the Nevada Democrat's votes on key conservation measures in his 24 years in the Senate and his four years in the House.

The group has given Reid a 77 percent career environmental score and 92 percent score for the 110th Congress.

Among other things, the group praised Reid's efforts to move comprehensive renewable energy and climate legislation in the Senate.

League officials say Reid's leadership has ensured that solar investment tax credits were expanded.

They also note Reid secured $37 million to help Nevadans make homes and buildings more energy efficient.
