Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Ashley Dawn Popham, 20, a transient, was arrested at 7:54 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony possession of false identification to avoid prosecution, misdemeanor contempt of court, failure to appear and minor gambling. Bail was set at $15,000.

• Kristy Lynn Williams, 27, of Gardnerville, was arrested at 8:15 p.m. Thursday at J.C. Penney on suspicion of felony grand larceny. In November she allegedly stole four pieces of jewelry valued at more than $12,000. Bail was set at $25,000.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Coroner call in the 2800 block of Highway 50 East at 9:28 a.m.

• A camera and computer were stolen from a home on Christmas Tree Drive, a caller reported at 10:27 a.m.

• Report of gasoline siphoned out a vehicle parked overnight at the Carson High Tech Center.

• A mother reported at 2:35 p.m. that earlier in the day her son was battered by his girlfriend at the high school.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Misdemeanor arrest on Main Street in Fernley at 1:10 a.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest on Main Street in Fernley at 1:13 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Report at 11:04 a.m. of wild horses on Peri Ranch Road.

• Medical call at 3:24 p.m. at Virginia City High for a 34-year-old woman who fell and possibly broke her ankle.

• Report at 5:57 p.m. of two off-road vehicles at Sam Clemens Park, "tearing it up."
