Obituary: Knox Justin Johnson Kolbe

Knox Justin Johnson Kolbe, 33, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009, as the result of a car accident near Hooker, Okla.

The son of Helen (Johnson) and Will Kolbe, Justin was born August 5, 1976, in Carson City. He graduated from Douglas High School in Gardnerville and attended the University of Nevada in Reno; Redlands Community College in El Reno, Okla., and graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell with Bachelor of Science degrees in Animal Science and Agri-Business. Justin married CaSandra (Sandi) Ninemire on June 29. 2002. He was a meat selector for National Beef, Liberal, Kan.; served on the Hardesty City Council; the Texas County Junior Livestock Show Board and was president of the International Feedlot Cowboys Association. Justin also ran cattle, enjoyed roping and was an avid hunter. Justin was a member of the Hardesty United Methodist Church. He was a loving son, husband and father.

Justin is survived by his wife Sandi, and daughter Camdyn Pearl Kolbe, of Hardesty; mother Helen Johnson of Gardnerville; father Will Kolbe and wife Gail of Genoa; two brothers, Drew Kolbe and Elliot Kolbe and wife Laura, and grandfather Knox Johnson, all of Gardnerville. He is also survived by his in-laws, Debbie and Greg Ninemire, and brother-in-law Cody Ninemire, all of Hardesty; and a grandmother-in-law, Margaret Ninemire of LaJunta, Colo.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Albert and Ruth Kolbe and Elizabeth Johnson.

Funeral services were Sunday afternoon, January 3 at the Hardesty School Auditorium with interment in Hartville Cemetery. Friends may sign the online guest book at www.hensonnovak.com. A Justin Kolbe Memorial Fund will be established for the future education expenses of his daughter, Camdyn, and will be accepted at Henson-Novak Funeral Directors, P.O. Box 1306, Guymon, OK 73942.
