Obituary: Alban Forster

Alban Forster was born October 30, 1926, in Richardton, N.D., to parents Adam and Agatha (Schaaf) Forster. He married Iris Mae Haug May 7, 1949, in Spokane, Wash. He received his education in North Dakota and Spokane. He also took classes in electrical techniques, which became his love and later, his lifelong trade. He spent more than 60 years as an electrician. He spent a short time in the Merchant Marines followed by four years Army service in Japan. In Yokohama, Japan, he was in charge of the Enlisted Men's Club. Alban was an avid sportsman enjoying all outdoor sports. He was in a bowling league in Carson City. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and was president twice.

He is survived by wife Iris and son Craig in Carson City, and sisters-in-law Jean in Bothell, Wash., Lou Gavin in La Crosse, Wisc.; sister Joyce Baird and brother-in-law Barrie Baird in Spokane; also sister Ione Montgomery in La Luz, N.M.. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are in the trusted hands of Autumn Funerals and Cremations. No services will be held as per Alban's wishes.
