Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• Cristo Alfonso Forero, 70, of Carson City, was arrested at 1:17 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of gross misdemeanor unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor obstructing an investigation. He allegedly parked his car so that someone he thought cheated him could not get out of a driveway. According to the arrest report, deputies spoke with Forero for 15 minutes urging him to move his vehicle. He allegedly refused and was arrested. Bail was set at $3,039.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:
• Alleged gang fight among teens in Mills Park at 11:57 a.m. An arrest was made.
• Embezzlement report on North Carson Street at 1:39 p.m.
• A 14-year-old was cited for shoplifting from Save Mart on Highway 50 East at 3:44 p.m.
• Coroner call in the 1800 block of North Carson Street at 7:53 p.m.
• A 14-year-old was arrested for shoplifting from Save Mart on Highway 50 East at 8:46 p.m.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:
• Fernley employer reported an employee was threatened at 8:39 a.m.
• A meter reader was bitten by a dog in Mason Valley as he checked meters on Bybee Lane at 10:24 a.m.
• Commercial burglary report on Quince Avenue in Silver Springs at 11:09 a.m.
• Man on Ramsey Street in Silver Springs reported he thought he cut his thumb off with a table saw at 11:33 a.m.
• A Fernley mother reported her 15-year-old daughter was threatened by a woman at a convenience store at 2:44 p.m.
• Report of a 6-year-old with a rifle "waving it around" outside a home on Elm Street in Silver Springs at 3:35 p.m.
• A California man asked deputies to check on his Silver Springs sister whom he was unable to contact. Deputies did not locate the woman.
• Two misdemeanor arrests on Miriam Way in Mound House following a reported fight at 6:46 p.m.
• Misdemeanor arrest on Farm District Road in Fernley at 8:26 p.m.
