(AP) - The Nevada Commission on Tourism has awarded $7,000 in grants to the Carson City Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The money will support marketing for the area's Divine Nine Golf Co-operative and newly restored Virginia & Truckee Railway.
The visitors bureau will give $2,000 to Divine Nine for trade show operations and to increase visibility of the area's nine golf courses.
The V&T will get $5,000 to update its Web site. The railroad runs 16 miles between Carson City and Virginia City.
