What's closed for Martin Luther King Day

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday the following will be open and closed Monday:

What's closed ...

• State, federal and city offices and U.S. post offices.

• Western Nevada College campuses and learning centers in Carson City, Fallon, Minden, Fernley, Hawthorne, Lovelock, Smith Valley and Yerington.

• All Carson City, Douglas and Lyon county schools and libraries.

• The Federal Reserve will be closed and many banks will follow the same schedule. Check your local branch.

• The Carson City and Douglas County marriage bureaus.

• The Carson City Sheriff's Depart-ment. Officers will patrol as usual.

• Senior centers in Carson City, Storey County, Dayton, Silver Springs and Douglas County.
