When you hear Reno anything, you think it doesn't apply to the rural areas, but when you talk about this association you are dead wrong. This year the Reno Rodeo Foundation Denim Drive received so much support they decided to assist Foster Families throughout the rural areas.

Licensed Washoe, Carson and Douglas County foster parents and their foster children are invited to attend the fourth annual Foster Family Denim Distribution event. Each child may select two pairs of jeans, a package of underwear and three packages of socks.

Thank you to everyone in the Reno Rodeo Association and all the contributors throughout the rodeo community and citizens that participated in this larger then life event.

United Blood Services with Miles Construction, in conjunction with Nevada Appeal, Carson Nugget and McDonald's, is sponsoring a local blood drive at Carson Middle School. This is a wonderful way to help out and support our community.

I am a complete chicken when it comes to needles but I really do believe in giving blood. I'll be there helping Miles Construction company meet the 30 committed individuals they promised. So please give a call and help save a life. If you are interested, please call and signed up.

We now have the Reno Aces, the Reno Big Horns and make room for the first ever all-women's derby league ... the Reno Roller Girls. Seriously sounds like a rockin', sockin' good time.
