Builders plan golf tournament

The Builders Association of Northern Nevada and the Builders Association Charity will host a golf tournament to raise money for local families and to honor Ray Pezonella, a local construction industry professional, on July 17.

The proceeds of the golf tournament will help the charity support local families in need and help BANN advocate on behalf of the construction industry in Northern Nevada.

The tournament will be at the D'Andrea Golf Club. Tee time is 1:30 p.m. on July 17. Cost is $125 per person or $500 per foursome, which includes beverages, tee prizes, awards and tri-tip barbecue immediately following play. Non-golfers can come to dinner for $25.

Carson City attorney named rising star

Mountain States Super Lawyers Rising Stars has recognized four Kaempfer Crowell attorneys for 2010.

Severin A. Carlson, of Carson City, was named rising star for Energy & Natural Resources. Other honorees were Stephanie H. Allen and Tabitha D. Fiddyment, both named as rising stars for Land Use/Zoning; and Lauren A. Pena was named as a rising star for Business Litigation.

Mountain States Super Lawyers recognized three other Kaempfer Crowell attorneys for 2010:

Peter C. Bernhard was named as a top attorney in Business Litigation; Christopher L. Kaempfer was named as a top attorney in Land Use/Zoning; and Mark H. Fiorentino was named as a top attorney for Government Relations. Only 5 percent of lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers.


Carson City Realtor receives award

Kari Breuer, a Carson City Realtor has been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist Designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.

Realtors who receive the CRS Designation have completed advanced courses and have demonstrated professional expertise in the field of residential real estate. Fewer than 40,000 Realtors nationwide have earned the credential.
