William (Bill) Clifford Frederick of Auburn, Calif., Nov. 28, 1922-July 23, 2010.

Beloved husband of Geraldine (Jerry) of 63 years, wonderful and caring father to Gloria Trew (Stan) of Meadow Vista, Calif., and Peggy Partridge (Daryl) of Truckee, Calif.; outstanding grandfather to Rusty, Ryan, Randy (Melissa) Trew of Meadow Vista and Sacramento, Calif., Tracy Harder (Joe) of Sacramento, and great-grandfather to Katelyn Winker of Sacramento; wonderful brother to his sister Juanita Putman of California and Tom Frederick of Idaho; and uncle to several nephew and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Born at home in Stratford, Calif., to Walter and Elizabeth Frederick, he was the fourth child out of six, and was raised in Shandon, Calif. After high school Bill served his country during WWII in Italy and the Battle of the Bulge in Germany. Returning home to Shandon, he met and dated the love of his life, Jerry. They married in Reno in 1946. Next to being with his family Bill loved the outdoors - hunting, fishing, and playing golf throughout the western states with family and friends, and especially his grandkids. He was so proud when they were camping, fishing, walking in fields hunting birds, or on the fairways with him. Bill had his own trucking business for 40 years, working in the California towns of Morro Bay, Lompoc, Tahoe City, and Meadow Vista.

He is truly a man that will be missed by family and friends. There will be a celebration of life for family and friends at noon Saturday, Aug. 7 at Gloria's. For directions call 530-878-2130 or Peggy at 530-448-4043. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please make a donation to Auburn Faith Hospice in Bill's name.
