(AP) - Travis Barrick has defeated Jacob Hafter for the Republican nomination in the Nevada attorney general's race.
Barrick will appear on the November ballot as a challenger to Democratic Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto. Masto was unopposed the primary.
Independent American Party candidate Joel Hansen also is running against Masto, who is seeking a second term as the state's top law enforcement officer.
With most of the votes tallied late Tuesday, Barrick was leading Hafter by 10 percentage points.
