Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki will face Reno City Councilwoman Jessica Sferrazza this November.

Krolicki was elected to his first term in 2006 and beat his primary opponent, Barbara Lee Woollen 73.3 percent to 20.5 percent.

"I'm heartened by the significant amount of support we've received throughout the state, north, south, rural urban," Krolicki, 49, said.

"We now have a Republican team assembled, I think the Republican family will gather around this team and I look forward to a spirited and successful victory come November."

Sferrazza, 36, who is halfway through her third term on the Reno City Council, beat out three other Democratic candidates with 42.7 percent of the vote to challenge Krolicki this fall.

"I believe people are responding to my message of job creation, stimulating the economy and turning Nevada around," Sferrazza said Tuesday. "I believe (Krolicki) has been the invisible man I have a plan, I have a message and I have a plan."
