Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Launie Merritt, 29, unemployed of Reno, was arrested at 12:08 a.m. Wednesday on Saliman Road at Highway 50 East on suspicion of felony parole violation, using false identification to avoid prosecution, three counts of passing of a check with insufficient funds, possession of a controlled substance and two counts of misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic needle. No bail was set.

• Jorge Cisneros, 31, a landscaper from Carson City, was arrested at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at Clearview and Silver Sage drives on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $3,632.

• A 39-year-old unemployed Carson City woman was arrested at 10:06 p.m. on suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing an officer, intoxicated pedestrian and having an open container of alcohol in public after an officer allegedly found her passed out drunk in the dirt near Overland and California streets. Bail was set at $711.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Report of a man "high on meth" on Castle Way at 1:56 a.m.

• Commercial burglary report on Highway 50 East at 6:17 a.m.

• A purse was stolen from the 2000 block of Highway 50 East at 3:48 p.m. by a man wearing slippers in his mid-20s, 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a thin build, black baggy shirt, gray baggy sweats and numerous tattoos.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Vehicle burglary report on Highway 50 East in Dayton at 11:44 a.m.
