Tax measure a topic at Elko Mining Expo

ELKO (AP) - A proposed Nevada mining tax initiative is among the key topics at the 25th annual Elko Mining Expo convention and trade show.

Officials are crediting high gold prices and a booming mining industry with raising interest in the event continuing Friday at the Elko Convention Center. Organizers are reporting a record 407 exhibitors.
