At Carson High School's annual Naval Jr. ROTC ball, Capitol Post 4 of the American Legion, Carson City, recognized students for their achievements this year.
Representing the post, Ron Gutzman presented Legion awards to Mark Estrada for military excellence and to Scott Gallaway for scholastic excellence.
In addition to these two awards, the Post awarded two $500 scholarship savings bonds to Sandra Perez and Richard McMullin.
The recipients demonstrated both leadership and scholastic achievements.
