Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Daniel Ryan, a 46-year-old transient, was arrested at 5:04 a.m. Wednesday in the 3700 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of felony providing false ID to avoid prosecution, misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence and possession of hypodermic needle. Bail was set at $12,132.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Coroner call in the 3000 block of North Ormsby Boulevard at 2:09 a.m.

• Report of $3,000 in copper wire stolen from the 1600 block of South Sutro Terrace sometime last week.

• A storage shed on Champion Street was burglarized sometime before 5:25 p.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Arrest on Silver Lace Boulevard at 1 a.m. in Fernley.

• Coroner call in the 2700 block of East Fifth Street in Silver Springs at 7:54 a.m.

• A man on Lois Lane in Fernley called to report another man spit on him and slapped his buddy, at 5:22 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:

• Report Wednesday of a large bear walking down Lousetown Road at 10:58 p.m. Caller said the bear had already gotten into her garbage.

• A caller on South E Street reported at 8:24 a.m. they were being "bothered repeatedly by the Census Bureau."
