A Carson City man and three friends were jailed Thursday after he allegedly beat up his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend Wednesday night.
Nicholas Morrow, 24, was booked into the Carson City Jail at 5:20 p.m. on suspicion of felony burglary, false imprisonment, conspiracy to commit a crime, escape and battery. Also arrested were Nyle Anthony Silva, 23, and Mario Aguirre-Cairo, 21, on charges including suspicion of felony burglary, false imprisonment and battery; and Valarie Baxley, 42, on suspicion of felony aiding a fugitive.
According to the arrest report, Morrow, his girlfriend, Aguirre-Cairo and Silva went to an apartment on Menlo Drive Wednesday night to confront the father of the girlfriend's baby.
Morrow allegedly beat the victim while Morrow's friends kept the victim's friends at bay. When the victim attempted to grab a weapon to defend himself, the trio allegedly assaulted him further, then fled.
Police were unable to locate the suspects Wednesday night.
On Thursday, Morrow, out on bail and awaiting sentencing on previous felony charges, checked in at the Alternative Sentencing Office. He was taken to the detective division to be interviewed.
As officers filled out paperwork, and Morrow was left handcuffed in the interview room, he escaped from the building and fled.
He was found in Baxley's Como Street apartment a short time later.
Morrow and Aguirre-Cairo's bail was set at $26,132. Silva's bail was set at $29,132. Baxley's bail was set at $25,000.
