Obituary: Roger Hardwick Chastain

Roger Hardwick Chastain, 88, of Carson City died June 21, 2010.  He was born July 8, 1921, in Calvin, Okla., to Starling and Bertie. He was preceded in death by his son Roger Alan. Survivors include his wife Hazel; brother Roy; daughters Charlotte Chastain, Linda Weber, and Judy Jackson; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. June 28 at Worden Chapel, 140 S. 6th St., Chowchilla, Calif. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in his name to: National Service Foundation, addressed to Disabled American Veterans, 5460 Reno Corporate Dr., Reno, NV 89511.
