The play "A Scrap of Paper," was ably presented by graduating class men at Carson in a benefit for King's daughters. The leading male character was played by Frank Day and his costume was correct in every detail.

70 YEARS AGO

Dale Sparr, manager of the clubhouse at the Carson Hot Springs, former ring champion of the United States Navy and ranked as one of the top ten fighters of his weight, will make his initial appearance at the Carson Hot Springs Rodeo in the wild cow milking contest. Sparr has teamed up with Washoe Valley Rancher Allie Amellie. A large number of supporters will be "rooting" for Dale and Allie.

50 YEARS AGO

Residents of Ormsby county will have to go to the assessor's office to pick up license plates because, despite publicity to the contrary, the County does not have the money to pay postage on the licenses.
