A convicted sex offender pleaded guilty Tuesday to having sex with a 15-year-old girl and possessing child pornography.
Dirk Patrick Klinke, 28, was arrested in December after allegedly picking up the girl and taking her to his house for sex. The two met on a social networking site for iPhone.
Following his arrest, officers discovered Klinke's sex offender status. He was convicted in 2004 in Scottsdale, Ariz., of sexual misconduct with a minor and attempted sexual misconduct with a minor. He was released from prison in September 2007.
A search of Klinke's computers, which his terms of parole prohibit, revealed hundreds of pornographic photographs and videos of children as young as 2 years old, said Detective Dave Le Gros.
Klinke pleaded guilty before Judge Jim Wilson to statutory sexual seduction and three counts of possession of child porn - two of which were of the 15-year-old victim. He faces up to 23 years in prison when sentenced April 13.
Also in court this week, Joel Alcaraz-Gonzales, 25, was sentenced to a lengthy prison term after he sold two ounces of methamphetamine and a gun to a U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives officer.
Alcaraz-Gonzales pleaded guilty Feb. 1 to two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine. Judge Todd Russell sentenced him Monday to consecutive terms of 28 to 120 months in prison. He will be deported once he serves out his prison term.
