Capital Ford will host a fundraiser at Carson High School Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in an attempt to raise $6,000 for the baseball team.
As part of the Drive One 4 UR School fundraising program, the Carson City car dealer will offer test drives on a variety of Ford cars - each test drive resulting in a $20 donation from Ford to the Carson High School baseball team up to $6,000.
"We're in it to raise all of it," said Suzanne Peckham, the customer relations manager at Capital Ford.
The event will take place in the Carson High School parking lot, 1111 North Saliman Road.
Capital Ford hosted a similar fundraiser last fall for the Carson High School girls basketball team, raising $6,000.
One test drive is allowed per household. The driver must be 18 or older and licensed. No car seats are allowed in the test cars.
The test drive should last about five to seven minutes, Peckham said.
Since 2007, when Ford started the program, $2.3 million has been raised for 700 high schools.
