Obituary: Lois J. Hinkel

Lois J. Hinkel, 89, a Carson City resident for 35 years, died March 1, 2010. She was born July 12, 1920, in Pasadena, Calif., to Edwin and Eleonore (Cook) Whitney. She is survived by son Kurt Hinkel of Carson City; daughters and son-in-laws Jackie and Ray Zaro of Carson City and Geri and Skip Jones of Sonora, Calif.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandsons. Memorial donations may be made to the Soroptimist International of Carson City. A private service will be held. FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
