STATELINE (AP) - The new owner of the former Bill's Casino building has big plans.

Attorney Michael Laub bought the former casino for $5.225 million on Friday. The building sits between Harrah's Lake Tahoe and MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa.

Laub says he plans to use the 46,000-square-foot space for retail, dining and a gentleman's club called The Pearl that he pledges will be classy.

He estimates his operation could create up to 100 new jobs.

Laub says The Pearl will be elegant and the only signs visible from the highway will show the name of the club and will be tasteful.

Laub also says he's open to ideas other than a topless club.

Laub plans to change the building's facade. He says it could be open in six to eight months.
