Did you remember to spring ahead last night? At 2 a.m., you were supposed to turn your clocks to 3 a.m. for daylight saving time. If you didn't, you're an hour late for whatever you're planning to do today. Also, tomorrow, it's Toga Time, aka the Ides of March, when Caesar bit the dust. And finally, it'll be St. Patrick's Day Wednesday ... corned beef and cabbage for all. Erin go bragh!

From the Internet: Gallagher opened the morning newspaper and was shocked to read in the obituaries that he had died. He quickly phoned his best friend, Finney. "Did you see the paper?" asked Gallagher. "They say I died." "Yes, I saw it," replied Finney. "Where are ye callin' from?"

A big get well to Al Nicholson who's in the VA Hospital in Reno. And a happy birthday to Dorothy Tate (the Big C's sister) this week. Tommy Livoti told Carolyn that he auditioned for the Sony Web Series filmed in Nevada and is one step away at this time. One step away from what we're not sure.

Great congrats go out to CHS's Nick Schlager. He just won the 4A State Wrestling Championship in the 135 pounds division. Hooray! Theodore Matthew Toma comes in at 7.5 lbs. after being born in Belgium on March 5, 2010. He joins big brother Alex, and grandmother Sherry Hester is ever so proud. Well done. Many thanks to Charlie Abowd at Adele's for making the best caramel sundaes ever.

A reader asked us, "Why aren't moderate Muslims and all the national women's groups in this country hounding the Arab world for still discriminating against women and keeping them second-class citizens?" The Saudis, Iraqis, Afghans, Pakistanis, Iranians ... all keep women from realizing their potential, particularly where religion is concerned. There are some exceptions, but not enough to excuse the silence from the aforementioned groups. Stand up and be heard ... then, maybe, changes will come.
