A presentation of the Blackhawk to Heybourne transmission line project will be held at the Lyon County Board of Commissioners meeting, 9 a.m. April 1 at 27 S. Main St., Yerington.

The new transmission lines and substations will increase the power capacity for Carson City and surrounding communities.

For the environmental impact statement, the BLM must identify alternatives to NV Energy's originally proposed transmission line route. These alternatives will be analyzed and potential environmental impacts will be compared against those of the proposed route.

If you live in the project area and have information about resources and uses of the lands that may be affected by either the proposed route or any of the alternatives, the BLM would like to hear from you. Submit information, concerns, or questions via the contact information on the project Web site or e-mail to black

hawkeis@blm.gov.

Detailed maps of the proposed alignment and alternative alignments will be available after NV Energy has completed ground proving, making any necessary revisions to the alignments, and preparing maps for distribution.
