A Carson man's invention - letter writer's companion: This is a pen that contains ink in the handle ... the writer, by pressing a rubber bulb, can squirt three tablespoons full of ink into a man's face who looks over his shoulder. The ink marks a man for life. Copyrights for the above valuable invention will be sold at the Appeal office to live responsible agents.

Carson Junior High School basketball teams celebrated their first undefeated season with an ice cream party. Attending from the lightweight team were: Chuck Leonard, Robert Sargent, Richard Sharp, Robert Shriver, Rickey Squires, John Kvam, Leonard Pierini and Mark Bowers. Members of the heavyweight team were Dan Koffler, John Felesina, Terry Graham, Bill Hoffman, Howard Ingersoll.

Kit Carson Rendezvous may move to Reno if they can't use the city's Mills Park for the annual June event. The Parks and Recreation Commission is considering establishing new rules for the park that would restrict the types of park use.
