Kenneth Watkins, 89, passed away Aug. 3, 2008 in Carson City. Kenneth was born Sept. 16, 1918 in Listie, Pa., to Wilbur and Viola Watkins.
Kenneth was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Mediterranean Theater, where he served as a staff sergeant in charge of the armory on a B-17 Aircraft. After his discharge, Kenneth and his wife, Dolores, traveled to Alaska where they spent a number of years in the Alaskan frontier building their own home.
Kenneth worked for the U.S. government for over 20 years as a property procurement officer, retiring in 1976.
Kenneth and Dolores were married September 9, 1944. His wife just passed away May 1, 2010.
