SPARKS - Sparks police have arrested a suspect and are looking for a gun used in a weekend shooting at a downtown tavern.

Police say 27-year-old Jerald Rey Costa Jr. was arrested for attempted murder following the 4 a.m. shooting Sunday at Paddy and Irene's bar.

Authorities say the 40-year-old victim was shot multiple times and is listed in critical condition at a Reno hospital with wounds to his chest, neck and arm.

Witnesses tell investigators the two men got into an argument before Costa allegedly pulled a 9mm semiautomatic handgun out of a holster and fired at least four times.

Police say Costa fled but was found and arrested a short time later.
