Store surveillance cameras captured an unidentified man and woman using a stolen credit card to make several purchases in early March, according to an investigator.

Carson City Sheriff's Detective Bob Motamenpour said an 85-year-old woman reported her purse was stolen after she left it in a business on Highway 50 East. As soon as she noticed it was missing, she checked her bank cards and found that someone had made several hundred dollars in credit card purchases at various stores including Walmart and GameStop on March 3.

Motamenpour said surveillance footage captured the thieves. He hopes someone in the public can identify them.

Both appear to be in their late teens or early 20s. Motamenpour said the female could have curly hair since she used the stolen card to buy hair product for straightening. The man has a medium build and facial hair. The duo were seen getting into a two-door vehicle that appeared to be a dark-colored hatchback.

Motamenpour said anyone who may be able to identify the two are asked to call him at 887-2020 ext. 41406.

Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. If you have any information, call 775-322-4900.
