Two candidate forums offer opportunities to become informed

A Carson City supervisor's candidate forum is from 7-9 p.m. today in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.

Early voting starts on Saturday, and there are a wide variety of candidates running for the two open spots, so residents are urged to be informed voters and find out where they candidates stand on Carson City issues.

The forum is organized by the members of the Carson City Arts & Culture Coalition, which is an active coalition of all the literary, performing, visual arts organizations in Carson City. The forum will be moderated by Peter Barton.

Another chance to meet the local primary election candidates is being sponored by the Carson City Republican Women and the Carson City Republican Central Committee,

The event will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Carson Mall. Candidates to be on hand are for supervisor, school trustee, Senate and Assembly, U.S. Senate and attorney general.
