In celebration of Memorial Day and the first anniversary of Evergreen Gene's, the shop will host a free barbecue noon-3 p.m. Monday at 1811 North Carson St.
The public is invited. Veterans will be honored and receive 25 percent off all purchases that day. Hot dogs, hamburgers, Italian sausage, potato salad and other fixings will be served. Bring your appetite.
