RENO (AP) - Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto has won re-election to a second term, topping Republican challenger Travis Barrick.
Early results showed the Democratic incumbent leading the GOP newcomer 55 percent to 35 percent.
Barrick focused his campaign on Masto's refusal to join other states in a lawsuit aimed at overturning the Obama administration's federal health care reform program.
Masto says she kept Nevada out of that fight based on her analysis of the merits of the case, along with the costs and benefits to Nevadans.
