Edward Allen Steffan passed away on Nov. 3, 2010. He is survived by his wife Wanda Steffan, ex-wife and friend Debbie Viscarret, children Brenda and Allen Steffan, mother Roseanne Steffan, sister Charla and many extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Charlie Steffan, sister Rosalie, and brother Charles. Ed was a fifth generation Nevadan and graduated from Carson High School in 1979.
Ed was a member of the high school rodeo team and participated in bull riding. He was a heavy equipment operator and a Dutch oven cooking guru. Ed was an avid gardener, volunteered in 4-H and both Reno and Carson high school rodeo teams.
Ed also enjoyed spending time barbecuing with family and friends. He was determined to accomplish anything that came his way. Ed was a mentor to many. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10 at Lone Mountain Cemetery. Arrangements are in the trusted care of Autumn Funerals & Cremations.
