Snowmen is theme for Methodist Women's holiday faire

Don't miss out on the chance to purchase gifts and goodies at the FirstUnited Methodist Women's annual Holiday Faire from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 13.

"Snowmen, Snowmen, Snowmen" is the theme this year. There will be snowmen of all kinds, snowflake ornaments, along with stuffed animals, pillows, kitchen linens, angels, toys and children?s items. All kinds of baked goodies and candies will be available and, of course, the Attic Treasure Room will once again be open.

When your feet need a rest, enjoy a bowl of soup and some corn bread, prepared and served by the Methodist Men from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Holiday bazaar planned by St. Peter's Episcopal Church

St. Peter's Episcopal Church members will host their holiday bazaar from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Nov. 13 in the Wesley Room of the First United Methodist Church, located on the corner of Musser and Division streets.

Sale today through Sunday

The Flip Flop Kids Shop fall consignment sale is today through Sunday in the Carson Mall in Carson City. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the half-off sale on Sunday. Sale includes baby gear, children's furniture, toys, games, sports gear, maternity and women's clothing, household items. Information, Karen Etnyre, (775) 825-1630.

Women's conference

Harvest dinner Sunday

The Topaz Community Open Bible Church annual Harvest Dinner and silent auction is noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Topaz Ranch Estates Community building on Carter Way. Meal tickets are $8 adult, $4 child, $15 per couple, $20 per family. Raffle tickets for quilt are $1 each, $5 for 6, $10 for 15. Silent auction items include bears, bookmarks, specialty foods, gift certificates, handiwork. Event benefits the church building fund. For information or to make donations, 266-0020 or 266-4129.

Craft fair at Methodist church today

Carson Valley United Methodist Church hosts their annual Christmas craft fair, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m .today, in the fellowship hall, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. On sale are handmade decorations, gifts, jewelry, and homebaked goods including pecan cinnamon rolls.

Lunch of lasagna, bread, salad, coffee or tea served 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $5 for adults, $2 for children. Event includes a silent auction and raffle, children's activities, music and choir caroling. Take photos with Santa, 10 a.m. to noon.

Art show this weekend at CVIC Hall in Minden

Carson Valley Art Association's Scholarship Benefit Show is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, in the CVIC Hall in Minden. Information, Ron Clarke, 782-8035.
