Obituary: Mary Ann Johnson

Mary Ann Johnson, 83, a resident of Carson City for 10 years, was born July 31, 1927 in Rockford, Ill., and passed away Nov. 6, 2010 in Carson City. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Hal Johnson of Carson City; daughters Sharon Kendall of Huron, Ohio and Nancy Friend of Minden; sisters Dorothy Garlic of Sacramento and Carole Rowe of Oakhurst, Calif.; grandchildren David and Michelle Black and Scott, Jeff and Allison Kendall; and great-grandson, Collin Kendall.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. at Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church in Carson City. Burial will be in Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Walton's Chapel of the Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Circle of Life Hospice, Inc., at 1575 Delucchi Lane, Suite 214, Reno, NV 89502.
