TAKE A SOLDIER TO THE MOVIE

Veterans Day is when we thank all the amazing men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Honoring our soldiers overseas is a great way to send a thank you this Veterans Day.

P.J. DeGross is helping make a big impact by encouraging the, "Take a SOLDIER to the movie" campaign in hopes of bringing a little piece of home to those serving in Afghanistan.

One soldier said, "You know we are watching the same DVDs over and over again. We almost know them verbatim. You know we can practically say the lines."

That's how the "Take a SOLDIER to the movie" concept began. For the holiday season, P.J. hopes to send hundreds of DVDs to Nevada men and women in Afghanistan for the holidays.

She is looking for movies with popcorn, candy and a drink (dried crystal lights packages, teas, etc.) Please add $2 in each bag so the care packages can be sent to Afghanistan.

COST: Around $25, but purchase anything and for the movie care packages and P.J. will combine and make nice packages for our soldiers.

FOOD FOR THOUGHTS LADIES NIGHT OUT & SHOP 'TIL YOU DROP

This is designed for a nice relaxing night out. What more could you ask for than 25 vendors with unique gifts for that special friend or family member, child care, wine and appetizers for only $10?

The proceeds go to assist the local Food For Thought Program, which assists children in need of food. This event is a great time to shop and help a great cause.

You'll find two of my favorites - Silpada jewelry and Scentsy candles - but it doesn't stop there. They will have Earth Goddess Body Products, this one I want to check out.

Also for the men out there, don't be afraid to attend. The vendors would love to help you out in selecting that special gift for that special someone.
