Carson 20, Reed 0

Offense

check The Senators were very opportunistic in the first quarter, capitalizing on a short punt and a fumble to take a quick 14-0 lead. They did let a couple of other opportunities slip away, which coach Blair Roman wasn't pleased about. Dylan Sawyers broke off a few long runs, including a 60-yarder in the fourth quarter which more than wiped out a Reed hopes of a comeback win. Except for two intentional grounding calls, Trey Jensen had a solid game.

Defense

check-plus This one was easy. The Senators recorded their first shutout since last year's playoff win over North Valleys. Fourth down stops by Tyler Collns, Connor Beattie and Logan Peternell were the story of the game as well as Colby Blueberg's two interceptions and solid play from defensive ends Jon Parker and Caleb Jeffers. The Raiders got nearly a quarter of their offense on their last drive when the outcome was already decided.

Special teams

check Austin Pacheco had three touchbacks, but missed a PAT. He had some issues with his leg during the game, which forced him out of the game defensively. Sawyers did drop a punt which put Carson in a tight spot in terms of field position in the first half.
