NBA: Jazz's Williams hits game-winner

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Deron Williams hit a running hook shot with 0.8 seconds left to cap a fourth-quarter rally and the Utah Jazz beat the Charlotte Bobcats 96-95 on Saturday night.

Williams finished with 17 points and nine assists for the Jazz, who overcame a 16-point halftime deficit to win their fifth straight game and fourth on the road.

Al Jefferson had 19 points, Paul Millsap 17 and Andrei Kirilenko 12 for Utah, which had to overcome double-digit deficits in winning its previous three road games.

Nazr Mohammed had 22 points and 20 rebounds for the Bobcats, who led by as many as 19 points in the first quarter and held a 73-63 margin going into the final period.

Stephen Jackson added 24 points for Charlotte, which remained winless at home in four games.

Hornets 107, Trail Blazers 87

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The unbeaten Hornets won their eighth in a row, with David West and Marco Belinelli each scoring 18 points in a win over the Trail Blazers.

The Hornets, the only undefeated team in the NBA, led from start to finish. They have held every one of their opponents below 100 points.

Portland cut a 17-point deficit to 75-70 early in the fourth quarter, but New Orleans responded with a 16-5 run to put the game away.

Chris Paul added 11 points and 13 assists for the Hornets. Center Emeka Okafor had a double-double before the end of the third quarter, finishing with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Heat 109, Raptors 90

MIAMI (AP) - Dwyane Wade scored 31 points, LeBron James added 23 points and 11 assists and the Miami Heat snapped a two-game slide with a win over the Raptors in Chris Bosh's first game against his former club.

James Jones had 14 points, while Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Bosh each scored 12 points for Miami. Udonis Haslem finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds off the Heat bench.

Andrea Bargnani had 22 points and nine rebounds for Toronto. DeMar DeRozan added 21 points, Jose Calderon and Sonny Weems each scored 15 and Amir Johnson finished with 14 for the Raptors, who were within four midway through the fourth quarter. Bucks 79, Warriors 72

MILWAUKEE (AP) - John Salmons scored a season-high 26 points, including a basket with 50.8 seconds left to lead the Bucks to a win over the Warriors.

Brandon Jennings added 19 points and Drew Gooden scored 16 as Milwaukee reached .500 for the first time this season.

Monta Ellis led the Warriors with 24 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome their season-lowest shooting of 34.1 percent.

The Warriors made one last run at the Bucks and made it 75-72 on Jeff Adrien's hook with 1:31 left. Salmons hit an 8-foot leaner with 50.8 seconds left and then Andrew Bogut blocked Vladimir Radmanovic' shot.

Luc Mbah a Moute grabbed Keyon Dooling's miss and was fouled. He made both free throws and when Reggie Williams missed a desperation 3-pointer, Jennings grabbed the rebound and dribbled out the clock.

Bulls 103, Wizards 96

CHICAGO (AP) - Derrick Rose scored 15 of his 24 points in the second half, outplaying John Wall and leading the Bulls to a victory over the weary Wizards.

Joakim Noah had 21 points and nine rebounds for Chicago, which earned its third consecutive victory in its last home game until Dec. 1. The Bulls open a seven-game road trip Tuesday at Houston, clearing out of the United Center so the circus can come to town.

Before the big show could take over Chicago's longtime home, Rose and Wall faced off in a matchup of speedy young point guards with similar backgrounds. Both played for John Calipari in college and were selected No. 1 overall by lagging franchises in need of a boost, Rose in 2008 and Wall this year.

Pacers 99, Cavaliers 85

CLEVELAND (AP) - Danny Granger scored 34 points and the Pacers pulled away in the second half to defeat the short-handed Cavaliers.

Cleveland lost its fourth straight home game for the first time since March 2003. The Cavaliers were minus starters Mo Williams (strained left groin) and Anderson Varejao (bruised ribs).

Granger shot 13 of 21, including 5 of 8 on 3-pointers. Mike Dunleavy scored 20 points for Indiana while Roy Hibbert had 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Antawn Jamison led Cleveland with 19 points. Ramon Sessions scored 17 points and Daniel Gibson had 15. Magic 91, Nets 90

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Jameer Nelson made the go-ahead basket with 4.1 seconds left, and the Magic avoided a third straight loss by beating the Nets.

Nelson redeemed himself after missing two free throws with 19 seconds to go and Orlando up one. Brook Lopez then made two foul shots to give New Jersey the lead with 11.5 seconds remaining, but Nelson sped down court and tossed in a floater while falling to his left.

Dwight Howard had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Magic, who had dropped two straight at home, blowing an 18-point lead against Utah and falling 110-106 to lowly Toronto on Friday.

Celtics 116, Grizzlies 110

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Ray Allen hit a key 3-point shot in overtime and Paul Pierce scored 28 points as the Celtics held off a furious rally by the Grizzlies.

Rudy Gay's short pull-up jump shot for Memphis with 7.3 seconds left in regulation tied it at 99.

Celtics forward Glen Davis hit a jump shot and Allen dropped in an arching 3-pointer to give the Celtics a 104-99 advantage.

Pierce made four free throws in the final 1:30 to seal Boston's seventh win in its last eight games. The Celtics finished their four-game road trip 3-1.

Gay had 22 points for the Grizzlies, who had trailed by as much as 11.

Spurs 116, 76ers 93

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Tony Parker scored 24 points and capped a big surge in the first quarter that sent the Spurs past the 76ers for their sixth win in a row.

Manu Ginobili added 18 points for the Spurs, who have already surpassed their longest winning streak from last season. All six of these victories have come against teams that were at .500 or under.

Parker scored on a fast break that finished off a 16-0 spree. The Spurs scored a season-high 39 points in the opening period and led the rest of the way.
