RENO (AP) - Reno police are warning the public about a man who has burglarized employees at businesses by posing as a building inspector.
Authorities say he usually carries and clipboard and a camera, and claims to be an inspector sent to check a roof or fire sprinkler system.
Police say he targets businesses with a high volume of customers, and has been seen leaving with a jacket over his arm concealing the purses of victims underneath.
The suspect is described as white, 35 to 45 years old, about 250 pounds with a heavy build.
Police say he doesn't wear an official uniform and is usually dressed in jeans.
