Obituary: Susan Irene Lindsey

Susan Irene Lindsey, 67, of Carson City died Nov. 13, 2010 peacefully at her home with her husband of 49 years after a yearlong battle with cancer. Mrs. Lindsey was born Jan. 28, 1943, in Salt Lake City to Earl Herman Nelson and Irene Lucille (Nelson) Gragg. Mrs. Lindsey is survived by husband Thomas J. Lindsey, mother Irene Gragg, daughters Joanne S. Lindsey and Sandra D. Lindsey, sister Nancy Robins and three grandchildren, Lindsey and Michael Brentlinger of Carson City and Joshua Stinson of North Carolina.

During her career she worked as the executive secretary for Gov. Robert List and was the supervising legal secretary in the Attorney General's Office under the Brian McKay administration. She retired in 2004 after 25 years of state service.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at the Eagles Lodge #1006, 1380 E. 5th Street, Carson City, NV. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
