Richard Wayne Conway, 22, of Carson City passed away on Nov. 17, 2010 at his home in Reno. There will be a public viewing Tuesday, Nov. 23 from noon to 4 p.m. at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. There will be a second public viewing on Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.
Mr. Conway was born at Carson Tahoe Hospital on Jan. 26, 1988, and was baptized at Stewart Community Baptist Church. He was born and raised in Carson City and obtained his G.E.D. from Western Nevada Community College, then attended Klamath Community College in Klamath Falls, Ore. Mr. Conway worked at ALS USA, Inc. in Reno as a line supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Irene Thompson, grandmother Luella Pete Sosa, Auntie Althea Conway and Auntie Cheryl Conway. Among his survivors are his grandparents Don and Ellen Hess; parents Galen and Evelyn Conway; brothers Gerald Andreas, Michael Ray Sosa, Guy Jim III, Dave Jim Sr. and Dustin Sosa; lifelong girlfriend Sylena Marie Barela; nieces Dasha, Tysha, Maylee, Blessed and Bella; nephews Victor, Tyler, Dayvin and Dave Jim Jr.; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His family members will remember him for his sense of humor, creative thinking and writing skills, quick wit, his admiration for the beauty of nature, unconditional love for his family and friends, and a smile that would light up the world.
