LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Las Vegas consulting firm that says it helps clients obtain medical marijuana has lost its business license amid allegations that it illegally sold the drug.
Dr. Reefer advertises on billboards around Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Clark County revoked the business license Thursday after commissioners were told undercover officers bought marijuana there between December 2009 and September 2010.
The report to county commissioners came after police and federal drug enforcement officers raided the business in September. No arrests were made.
Nevada law allows patients to use marijuana grown at home with a doctor's approval.
But the drug can't be legally bought or sold for medicinal purposes.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada says the county acted improperly by shuttering the business without proof of wrongdoing.
