Free Christmas concert on Dec. 5

The Capital City Community Band will perform a free concert at

3 p.m. Dec. 5, at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.

The band will perform two pieces specifically for Christmas, and some other general pieces by audience demand. Some pieces will include "A Touch of Christmas," "West River Jubilee," "Rockwell Portrait" and "Songs of Old Kentucky."

"The band plays what the audience asks to hear," said CCCB Director Richard Doede.
