130 YEARS AGO

A sad incident (continued from Sunday): The gun discharged, the ball passed through the wall of the boarding house where Crawford was living. Llewellyn Meder had just arisen from his seat when the ball entered his right side. He threw up his hands and fell to the floor and said "My God I am shot." A moment later Mr. Crawford appeared nearly beside himself with grief. The wounded man was placed in bed and medical aid called. (Continued on Wednesday).

All sorts: A new pipe organ is soon to be placed in St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Carson, the second one in Nevada - there being a very good one in the Methodist Church at Austin.

Carson-Tahoe hosts their first free flu vaccines at the Carson Mall with 2,000 vaccines. Five hundred were administered in the first hour.
