More winter is on the way.
Another storm system from the Gulf of Alaska is expected to dump another inch of snow in the valley today, followed by another bout of cold temperatures, albeit not as frigid as the past couple days.
"It's not looking to be as much as we thought like last week's," said Dawn Fishler, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Reno. "We could have about an inch, maybe a little higher once you get to the western foothills."
Fishler said Saturday afternoon will hold the best chance for snow.
Temperatures will drop to the mid-30s for Sunday's high with a low in the 20s. The low on Monday morning will be in the teens, she said.
"Maybe by the end of next week we could be seeing another weak system, but it's not looking very impressive," Fishler said.
