Michael Robert McCarthy, 62, died Nov. 25, 2010, in Smith. He was born July 14, 1948, in Lynwood, Calif., to Robert and Dolores McCarthy. He is survived by his wife, Micheale Campoy-McCarthy; father and stepmother Mary; sons Quinton D., Austin M., and Andrew M. McCarthy; daughters Dr. Christina E. McCarthy, Nichole C. McCarthy, Diamond L. McCarthy and Brandy Atkinson-Padilla; brothers John and Tim McCarthy; sisters Mary Jo McCarthy-Albert and Annette Johnson; stepsisters, Lorna Roberts and Cindy Diaz; and one granddaughter. A memorial service will be at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3 at St. John's Baptist Catholic Church in Smith. Inurnment will follow at Northern Nevada Memorial Veteran's Cemetery in Fernley. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is handling arrangements.
